The Eagles had been shopping former Pro Bowl corner Lito Sheppard around the league ever since the day they signed standout Asante Samuel. The Birds couldn’t find a new home for Lito because they were unsatisfied with anything other clubs offered in return. Now it’s being reported that the Birds may try to find somewhere else new for Lito to play: on the offensive side of the ball.

The whole idea is pretty odd (and oddly entertaining), especially considering that Lito is all of 5′10″, and they’ve got enough undersized receivers to field an arena league team.Just when you think you understand the NFL or a team like the Eagles you hear a report like this.
