Filed under: Eagles, NFC EastYesterday, Andy Reid said something after the game to this effect — “You sometimes have to take a step back to be able to go forward a thousand miles.” I have no idea if that is the exact quote because, frankly, it makes zero sense.

Well, that “step back” must have been benching Donovan McNabb and his sexy gloves before taking that “thousand mile” journey to their Thanksgiving game against the Cardinals, because Reid just announced Donovan would be starting this Thursday.

Asked if McNabb would be the starter for the rest of the season, Reid said, “Yeah, as I sit here right now he’s my quarterback. I’m telling you, he’s the starting quarterback. If I thought different then I’d start the other guy.”
I’ve been in turbulent relationships over the years and one thing I have learned is honest communication (I’m lying) is the only way to a successful relationship (I’m still single), so benching Donovan just to start him again in no way could be construed as mixed signals (me = bad at relationship advice).Continue Reading
