After today's win in Super Bowl XLIII -- you don't think we'd predict anything else, do you? -- there will be Black 'n' Gold lust for all things Steelers. Sometimes overlooked are the books that have been written about the team. Roy Blount Jr.'s "About Three Bricks Shy of a Load" in 1974 was the first -- and maybe still the best -- book about a team that was on the verge of greatness. Since then, writers both local and national have tried to capture the history, the drama, the thrills in print.

Here is a list of some of the notable books about the Steelers.

? "About Three Bricks Shy of a Load" by Roy Blount Jr. (Ballantine, 1974) -- One of the first books to chronicle the first great Steelers teams. Blount followed with "About Three Bricks Shy ... and the Load Filled Up" in 1989.

? "The Bus: My Life in and Out of a Helmet," by Jerome Bettis and Gene Wojciehowski (Broadway, 2008) -- The former Steelers running back tells his life story.

? "Dan Rooney: My 75 Years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL," by Dan Rooney, with Andrew Masich and Davis Halaas (Da Capo Press, 2007) -- The Steelers owner ruminates about his Football team.

? "Myron Cope: Double Yoi" by Myron Cope (Sports Publishing, 2005) -- The late broadcasting icon's memories of covering the Steelers.

? "Confessions of a Hero Worshipper" by Stephen J. Dubner (Morrow, 2003) -- The author's passionate pursuit to get to know Franco Harris.

? "The Pittsburgh Steelers " by Ed Bouchette (St. Martin's Griffin, 1994) -- Steelers history and trivia, with crossword puzzles, nicknames and anecdotes.

? "Steel Dynasty: The Team that Changed the NFL" by Bill Chastain (Triumph Books, 2005) -- Rocky Bleier wrote the foreword for this book about the franchise's rise to glory.

? "Fighting Back," by Rocky Bleier and Terry O'Neil (Stein & Day, 1980) One of the most popular Steelers tells about his journey from Notre Dame to Pittsburgh to Vietnam and back again to the Steel City.

? "It's Only a Game" by Terry Bradshaw, with David Fisher (Pocket, 2002) -- The Steelers Hall-of-Fame quarterback discusses his life from childhood to his stint as a broadcaster, with plenty of Steelers anecdotes in between.

? "The Chief" by Rob Zellars and Gene Collier (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2008) -- The script of the play about Steelers founder Art Rooney Sr.

? "The Steelers' Reader" edited by Randy Roberts and David Welky (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2002) -- A collection of essays about the team, with contributions by writers including Frank DeFord and Roy Blount Jr. The duo updated the collection in 2006 with "One for the Thumb: The New Steelers Reader."

? " Pittsburgh Steelers Glory Days" by Dale Grdnic (Sports Publishing LLC, 2007) -- From the Immaculate Reception to Super Bowl XL, the best moments in Steelers history.

? "Steeler Nation: A Pittsburgh Team, An American Phenomenon" by Jim Wexell (Pittsburgh Sports Publishing, 2008) -- The 2007 season through the stories of fans and the family and friends of players including Ben Roethlisberger, Willie Parker and Hines Ward. Wexell is also the author of "Tales From Behind the Iron Curtain" and "Men of Steel."

? "The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly Pittsburgh Steelers : Jaw-Dropping and Gut-Wrenching Moments from Pittsburgh Steelers History" by Matt Fulks (Triumph Books, 2008) -- The highs and lows of Pittsburgh Steelers Football.
