PLAYER NOTES

--WR Jason Avant suffered a strained trapezius muscle in Sunday's game when he tried to catch a pass from Donovan McNabb that had been thrown behind him. It's uncertain whether he'll be able to play this week against Seattle.

--RB Brian Westbrook came out of Sunday's win over Atlanta without any further damage to his healing fractured ribs. Westbrook had a season-high 28 touches and rushed for a career-high 167 yards.

--QB Donovan McNabb got poked in the eye during Sunday's win over Atlanta but didn't miss any time and is expected to be fine.

--WR Reggie Brown, who sat out his second straight game because of a groin injury, is expected to be a full participant in practice this week and play against Seattle on Sunday. Brown has only played in three games this season. He missed the first two games of the year with a hamstring injury.

--RG Shawn Andrews is still in California rehabbing from the back surgery he had last week on a herniated disk. The Eagles remain hopeful that Andrews might be back by December.

REPORT CARD VS. FALCONS

PASSING OFFENSE: C -- After a forgettable first half, Donovan McNabb completed 9 of 13 second-half passes, including a pair of beauties to Kevin Curtis and L.J. Smith on the eight-play scoring drive that put the Eagles up 17-7. But for the second time in three games, he failed to throw a touchdown pass.

RUSHING OFFENSE: B-plus -- Brian Westbrook rushed for a career-high 167 yards and two touchdowns, but the Eagles' season-long short-yardage and goal-line problems continued.

PASS DEFENSE: C-plus -- The Eagles picked off rookie Matt Ryan twice, including a TD-saving one late in the third quarter by Lito Sheppard. But he had them back on their heels in the fourth quarter when he completed 12 of 19 passes for 125 yards and a TD.

RUSH DEFENSE: A -- The Eagles' held the Falcons' No. 2-ranked rushing game to 77 yards and just 3.2 yards per carry. They gave up just two runs of longer than six yards and held the Falcons to zero or negative yards on six of their 24 rushing attempts.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C -- Eagles' struggling kickoff coverage unit did a good job of neutralizing Falcons KR Jerious Norwood. PR DeSean Jackson made some poor decisions, including one that resulted in a 12-yard loss and pinned the Eagles against their own goal line in the third quarter. Sav Rocca got away with some low punts that could've been disastrous.

COACHING: B-minus - Eagles only sacked Matt Ryan twice, but Jim Johnson's blitz packages gave the rookie problems and helped contribute to two interceptions. Andy Reid continues to make some curious - and ineffective - play calls in the red zone.
