PLAYER NOTES
--WR Kevin Curtis suffered a concussion in Sunday's win over the Giants. It's too soon to tell whether he'll be able to play next week against the Cleveland Browns.
--RB Correll Buckhalter, who has missed the last two games with a knee sprain, is feeling better and should be able to practice this week, coach Andy Reid said.
--CB Asante Samuel suffered an ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Giants. But it wasn't serious enough to force him out of the game. He should be able to play next week against Cleveland.
--TE L.J. Smith, who had a season-high six catches against the Giants, came out of the game with a knee contusion, but is expected to play next week against the Browns.
--G Shawn Andrews continues to rehab his surgically repaired back. The Eagles still haven't put him on injured reserve. He's not expected back for the regular-season, but the team still is hopeful he might be able to play in the playoffs if they make it.
REPORT CARD VS. GIANTS
PASSING OFFENSE: B-plus -- Donovan McNabb completed 19 of 30 passes, including a combined 12 to RB Brian Westbrook and TE L.J. Smith. He didn't throw an interception for the second straight game. Westbrook's 72 receiving yards were a season-high. So were Smith's six receptions.
RUSHING OFFENSE: A-minus -- Amazingly, the pass-happy Eagles did the smart thing on a windy day and ran the ball. Ran it a season-high 41 times. They gave it to Brian Westbrook a career-high 33 times. The Eagles controlled the ball, particularly in the second half, when they had it for over 20 minutes.
PASS DEFENSE: A -- With no Plaxico Burress to worry about and a little assist from the wind, the Eagles held Eli Manning to seven completions in 21 attempts in the first three quarters. Safeties and linebackers did an excellent job on tight end Kevin Boss, holding him to one catch for five yards.
RUSH DEFENSE: B-plus -- A month ago, Brandon Jacobs and the Giants steamrolled the Eagles for 219 rushing yards. In Sunday's rematch, the Eagles held them to 88 yards on 24 carries. The Giants had just two runs of 10 yards or more.
SPECIAL TEAMS: D -- David Akers, who entered the game just 9-for-18 in his career at the Meadowlands, had a near-disastrous day. He had two field goal attempts blocked, including one that was returned for a touchdown at the end of the first half. He did make two field goals, though, including a 51-yarder in the first quarter.
COACHING: A -- Andy Reid put his love for the pass on hold and pounded the ball on the ground against the Giants on a terribly windy and cold day. The Eagles rushed for 144 yards on a season-high 41 carries.
